WebInconel ® 718 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-based superalloy known for its superb tensile strength when subjected to extreme pressure and heat. It has rupture strength at temperatures up to 1290°F (980°C), making it ideal for high temperature applications such as gas turbine and power/process industry parts. WebNickel alloy Inconel 718® is usually provided in the solution annealed condition (AMS 5662 & AMS 5596), but can be also be supplied in the aged hardened or precipitation heat treated condition (AMS 5663 & AMS 5597) prior to forming. Inconel 718® strip is available from .001" to .063" in 12" wide coils. 24" wide strip is available in some gauges.
