Actually, DH carries a pocket knife on his keychain - it's one of those Swiss army types with a corkscrew, nail clippers, etc. Never had a problem on a cruise - it is NOT at all like an airline - there are knives (big, sharp ones, too) all over the ship if anyone really wanted to get ahold of one.
